I enjoyed this read; the author has been brave in parts, warm and telling in others….I particularly enjoyed the chapters on Lara, the Hurricane and the Carnival…indeed, I enjoyed it all! Tariq approached everything with such warmth and positivism, at no point does the reader see him stay down, he rises above every challenge and moves forward in these delightful experiences. I love the language, such a fine mixture of the Wadadlian/Antiguan tongue to the Leicester twang! From the Hood 2 Horses is a selection of experiences which all of us, with a foot in the Caribbean and a foot in England, ought to read….it’ll make you smile as well as reflect on the story within you waiting to be told….
